I'm thinking about selling again and going with a 3-year minivan lease and then buying a nice diesel Odyssey or something of its' ilk when the lease is up in 2011.It's a wonderful family car, and I love it, but I'm beginning to wonder if I should sell it at a profit and get some cheap reliable minivan. My commute is only 7 miles now, and with diesels so valuable (especially in Massachusetts) ... It's black. Has 89k miles on it (I bought it with 15k on it and was the 2nd owner). It has sweet 16" BBS wheels with in-great shape Michelin Hydroedges (only used two years and not in the winter). I will also include a second set of stock Jetta steelies with Blizzaks on it for winter driving. Monsoon radio. Power sunroof, etc. The mods are Sprint 110s and RocketChip II. It's fast! Clutch does slip a bit in cold weather if you gun it. It has brand-new glow plugs and harness. The TB was done this summer by JollyGreenGiant and it now has the 100k belt. The car has been super reliable. The Monsoon was replaced shortly after I got it because it wasn't working properly when I bought the car.Asking $15.5k or best offer. But I won't sell her for much less than $15k.
The car has:
Updated price. $15.5k. Have been doing some financial reconsidering and bumped the sale of the car a bit higher on my "should do" list. It's a sweet ride with several excellent mods and will make anyone a happy camper.
Nice setup.
How many miles/gallon does it get now with the mods? (I assume you have been multiplying by an appropriate conversion factor due to your larger tires)
I typically get in the low-40s. But I also have a 7-mile commute now, so that kills MPG straight away.
The car is sold *sniff*. [:'(]
Kinda sad ehh?
It was bitter sweet when I sold mine last fall ... but we still have one TDI.

Yes, I'm quite sad. We're now a diesel-free household for a couple of years. I replaced it with a 2005 Pacifica (details here). I really like it, but it's just not the same as my Jetta.
This new TDI is gold, any vehicle that gets less then 40MPG should be crushed for scrap metal. I have an 05 TDI wagon and love it, but I will be replacing it with the new sport wagon as soon as it is available.
