Averageblair, you're right. i have clogged my fuel filters again and again. The problem occurs when i try and wind out the engine shifting gears. it doesn't have any top end acceleration. It seems to hesitate and sputter. After i change the filter, it runs fine again. In two months(4,000 miles...

Found out when you switch to straight oil vs. diesel fuel, the engine runs at lower RPMs and just seems rougher. Also the oil lite was going on everytime I idled. Used a manual throttle to increase the RPMs at idle and now it runs fine. Very gratifying. Tim

I bought a 1989 dodge ram with a cummins diesel in it for $1,700 and have been running straight oil in it for a couple of weeks now. it seems to run fine once it is warmed up. It seems like pick up trucks with diesel engines are the cheapest way to buy a diesel. i could be wrong. With few exceptions...

i am just now starting to deal with the same issue as stonebreaker described, with my '06 cummins 5.9. i have been running blend for the last year (10,000 miles) since i bought it used & the truck had not run on any biodiesel prior to my purchase. my issue is a progressive decreasing of turbo...

Noticably absent from either the New Holland or Case IH lineup a biodiesel approved engines is any Cummins engines. Both tractor manufacturers have Cummins engines in some of their models. It looks like most of the B100 approved engines are European or Japanese. Sad day for us.

Thanks for the info. Another person suggested that I had bought biodiesel that wasn't properly dried. I'm guessing that since you make your own you are confident that you are thoroughly drying the fuel? I don't know what to think anymore. Why do yours and mine and only a handful of others...

I have an 07 CTD. I run B20 regularly and have tried B100 a few times. I get 14-15 around town and 17-18 or a little more on road trips. When I have run the B100, I notice maybe a .5 mpg less difference. My driving habits are too varied to notice much more precise mpg changes. Although not yet proven...

If high water content in the fuel is the problem, what can be done. My understanding is the fuel filter/water separator installed in the vehicle only separates water that is not emulsified in the biodiesel. (My "water in fuel" indicator does not illuminate.) Does the FASS or Air Dog system do a better...

Hook-That-Fish: I have a 2005 DodgeRam and when I start it in the morning white smokes rolls out. Only have 34,000 miles on the truck. Last month had to replace one injector (under warranty) doesn't do it as bad but still does smoke some. When injector went out when driving the truck I left a black trail...

I have an 07 Dodge Ram 3500 with 5.9l Cummins Turbo Diesel. I have been using B20 fairly regularly since new and now have over 10,000 miles on the truck.. I have tried B100 a couple of times. Both times I fill up with B100, I still had about 5-7 gallons of ULSD in the 34 gallon tank. (I fill from a commercial...
